A letter from Stan Bower to the businessmen in the St. Louis region:

Stan Bower

Dear Friends,

I trust that 2016 has started with hope for you and yours. Even as we begin this new year, challenges and change are always present. Who knows what the future will bring to each of us?

Challenges confront us and, at times, we are the ones who need to change and be transformed. Transformation (not conformity) is the key, according to Romans 12:2 -

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect”. Once I get my mind and heart right, I then have a chance to live and walk right before my Lord. As that happens, I begin to experience His truth and my behavior and attitude are transformed accordingly.

Transformation also happens experientially. The things that shape us most deeply come through experiences of life with people we are in relationship with. For me, that includes you. As I engage with you, we affect one another emotionally. The teachable moments I walk away with are many; some even happen in an instant. As we talk, I learn from you and the information and perspective you share add to my own life.

My biggest change occurred on August 23, 1976, when I encountered Jesus Christ and He transformed my life. The second biggest change in the last 36 years was when I met and married my wife, Laura. More changes … we had four children … more changes … we now have two grandchildren! My family has certainly had a huge impact on me, second only to Christ.

Now you are a part of my life! Thank you for helping me to make those transformational changes and for sharing your perspective. I am grateful for all you have added to my journey. May 2016 be filled with all you need in your heart.

My best to you in this new year,

Stan Bower
